Section II. Safety Procedures
1. Ensure all guards and safety barriers are in place
during brake operation.
2. Observe all warning and safety decals. “HOT” decals
are located on the guards covering the rotor.
“ELECTRICAL” decals are in place at electrical box
locations.
3. Never step or stand on the brake or its components.
4. Adjustments or repairs should be made only by
qualified personnel.
5. Be aware of all pinch areas. Pinch areas are located
where the roll shaft couples with the brake coupler and
also where the cylinder rod connects to the dancer
connecting arm. Do not access the machine in the
pinch areas unless system is not in operation.
